THREE RINGS INTERTWINED

Many of us have heard stories of God inspiring us by sending signs
to us to let us know He is watching over us.
This is a true story of what happened to me the last week of March 2012.

The pastor of the church we have been going to for several months,
sent an email asking for volunteers to mow the church grounds.
My husband Joseph asked me to send a reply back that he would volunteer to do it.

The first day Joe was going over, I offered to go along and help.
The winter here in Pennsylvania was a very warm winter with little snow.
We each had our own mowers and it was difficult mowing,
being the first mowing of the season. The grass had grown
so high and was wet with dew, but we accomplished it.
It took two more days going over to the church to clean
out the flowerbeds, pick up broken branches, huge tree pods,
and litter thrown along the highway and in the grass.
I offered to do the picking up,
while Joe did flower beds, weed-whacking and then throw it
all on our truck to be hauled away.

Those three days the weather was just beautiful. Clear azure
blue skies and warm sun. As I was picking up
litter I grabbed what I thought was a black piece of
paper. To my surprise it was a little dirty black velvet pouch.
I opened it up and again to my surprise, inside
were three gold rings intertwined.
It didn't dawn on me the significance ot those three rings,
I only knew that I would have to turn them in
to the church, in case someone from the congregation lost them.
But there was an awesome feeling within me as I held them.
A very special feeling that I have experienced before in my lifetime.
I took them in, told them where I found them, and that
someone might want them back. I also said if
no one claimed them to please let me have them back.

Several weeks later, right after the church service was over
and we were walking down the aisle, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
It was the pastor and he smiled as he handed me the little black pouch.
At that very moment those feelings within surged
and I knew then it was God who had been speaking
to me when I found them.
Finding this soft velvet pouch, that had been laying
there on the church lawn, for however long, mowed over,
dirty, but no rips in the pouch and the three
intertwined rings with no scratches or dents.
God had given me something to remind me of Him.

I remembered the religious symbolism of the three intertwined
rings being of the Triune. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Since that morning, I became quite aware that God
was reassuring me that the Trinity was very real.
My being was filled with overwhelming love for God.

I began doing some research and found this writing:
A ring with three bands intertwined is a Christian symbol.
The three unsoldered bands represent the Holy Trinity:
The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. A circle, an endless line,
unbroken, having no beginning and no end,
symbolizing eternity or God
The word "Trinity" is derived from the Latin word "trinitas"
which means "three are one." And that the rings
are impossible to separate traditionally and represents
the strength in unity. They also are a symbol of an
individual's unbroken faith. In Christianity,
the three rings represent the Holy Trinity
(the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost).

Most everyone has seen or heard about little things that
touch people's hearts, minds, and souls.
Things that remind us every day, that there is a higher power.
A power so strong it cannot be ignored. Daily He talks to us,
shows us things, and guides us. If we watch and listen.
And yes I know sometimes we say "yeah right"
when troubles, worry, and heartaches are unbearable, but
those inspiring moments of feelings and thoughts stay with us.
God touches us with little things that surround us,
and even bigger things that are in plain sight,
that we tend to overlook. Don't let anyone
or anything take those blessings from you.
Those blessings you see or feel are personal messages from God.
How you accept them is up to you.
