WELL, that Sunday evening we were in bed, when
my husband Joe (of thirteen years) woke me up.
Our pastor's prayer was answered.
Yep! Joe saw our motion lights come on, and our dog Rags barked,
and when Joe looked out the window, he saw a momma bear
and her two little cubs with her, walking down our
dirt road from the mountain. They were gone till I got up.
We were surprised they didn't stop and get in our bird feeders
or garbage can like bears usually do.

The next day we became concerned about the young couple
who live below us because of their little four year old son
and the big dog they have, so Joe went down to tell them
about the bears. Momma bears are very protective
and we did not want any of them hurt.

Joe talked to the mother and told her of the bears.
But she already knew there were bears at her house
even though they did not see them.
YEP! they raided their garbage can and trash barrel. Oooopps!
Now they know how many visited them. We have not
seen them since but that does not mean they won't be back.
Or that other bears might not be visiting.

Wow! Talk about a pastor's prayer power.

Just maybe I will have more bear stories to tell.
