This is Joe's favorite picture. She stretched her back legs to the back of sofa,
her front legs hung down over front of sofa with her feet on floor and her head laying on the coffee table.
We haven't a clue what she was thinking.

LILAH'S LOVE OF LIFE

Lilah - June 1999
December 9th. 2010

Her given name was Delilah. And she lived a full happy life.
Many friends here on line, came to know her and love her as we did.
She became a part of not only our lives, but also many friends and our families here at home.
We told her today when she closed her eyes for her last sleep here on earth
how all of you and us loved her and will miss her.

Can't get any cozier then this LOL!
This sofa became HERS _ she slept on it at night, or just rested on it when we would be here in the living room. She was the QUEEN!

Here Lilah is playing with a shredded log after Joe cut down a tree that a black bear clawed up to mark his territory.
Guess she figured "NO WAY" -- "this is MY territory. LOL!"

Lilah always supervised every thing. Even making sure Joe holds the golf club right.
And Yep that is snow they are practicing on.
She went with us everywhere in this yard and mountain
and supervised every little job we did.
She tracked the scents of deer, blackbears, stray cats. Anything that moved she would chase.

Lilah loved to go in Joe's truck or my car. We would put
her leash on and she would grab hold of it
run to the car, jump in and ready to go for a ride.
She was well behaved, though it took some time to train her.
She stayed back when we open doors and when we would say
OK then she would fly out the door.
When her food was set down on a stand Joe made for her,
she stood waiting how ever long it took,
for our "good girl" and then dive into her food.
She learned not to jump up on people.
And most important was her coming on command when we call her,
especially when we would see a bear or other critter.

Lilah loved to go for walks and she sort of liked the creek.
She would get in when we would be swimming, but not stay in for long.
She would get out and wait on shore for us.
She loved to play with plastic milk bottles, and tennis balls, and her rope.

Lilah was playing with Diamondavid when he was here the summer of 2009 and he took a picture of her. They loved tormenting each other.

Diamondavid has a Suzuki and we just loved this picture of these two dogs on one.
The white one of course looks like Lilah.
She loved life. And as her veterinarian has said over and over,
she was nothing short of remarkable. She endured many surgeries, and pain,
but never never gave us a hard time.
She was full of life, and spirit.
And loved people, and the attention she received. She loved our mountain, and roamed free.
And now she roams in God's Heaven free of pain.
We can feel her still keeping watch over her mountain, and sending her love.
She loved to give slurpy kisses.

Till we meet again Lilah_girl, keep watching.

Now I know why several days before Thanksgiving I was instilled with the thought that we need to put up the Christmas Tree for Thanksgiving.
My girls wanted us to go to one of their houses for Thanksgiving but we declined for we did not want to leave Lilah alone at all. So my one daughter said okay we will come have Thanksgiving at Lilah's house.
The family did not know we put up Christmas tree and blended in Christmas decorations with the fall and Thanksgiving decorations and they were all so delighted when they saw everything and we had Christmas and took family pictures.
What we didn't know till I got my pictures back, was Lilah had her last Christmas too. She loved Christmas
and everyone here,
so I know God had this all planned that we would have one final
Christmas picture of our Lilah-Girl.

We will bring her back home to her mountain.

"Ode To Our Faithful Friends"
Written by a dear friend

They come in many shapes and sizes different breeds and such..................
Whether we choose them, or they choose us. It really doesn't matter much...............
On very rare occasions though a special one comes our way.................
That tiny, precious, and special pup that comes into our heart's to stay...................

We watch them grow and nurture them teaching them right from wrong................
They tuck their tails when we've scolded them, but not for very long....................
Soon all is forgiven, and they run just like the wind.....................
Whether chasing squirrels, balls, or sticks it matters not to them............

They only seek to please us and prove that they belong..................
They warm our hearts, and feel our love and sense when something's wrong..........
They show it in the way they cock their heads as if to say is there something I can do?.........................
They snuggle up beside us. Their licks say I love you!.....................

We pet their heads and give them hugs to show how much that means.....................
Soon they're lying there fast asleep dreaming doggie dreams......................
Oh how we love our special friend, who would fight anything to protect us.............
A friend who can really wag it's tail, and love is so infectious........................

But all too soon their lives are lived, too soon, they must depart......................
Gone, but never forgotten. We have them in our heart.
