My Special Love

On this very warm summer evening
I have nothing important to do.
So, I write this poem for my special love
Piggy Sue, the Daddy loves you.

Since the day you came into my life
You have given me so much joy.
That's why Daddy loves you so much
And bought you that squeaky toy.

You have always stayed by my side
Except for one particular night.
Then you came home the very next morning
To the Daddy, you were a special sight.

Believe the Daddy never meant to leave you
Or fill your heart with sorrow.
If it was all up to me
I'd be home with you tomorrow.

Please take good care of the Mommy
As best that I know you can.
The Mommy is all we have left now
Love, from the Daddy, you're biggest fan.

Jim, who is incarcerated and will no longer be on line, wrote this poem for his beloved dog Piggy Sue, and asked if I would share it with email friends. I know some of you know him, or have seen pictures of him hand-feeding squirrels, chipmunks and birds. Where he is now, he is hand-feeding squirrels, groundhogs, and birds. Some of you know of his other friends on here. So please share his poem with others. He knows he won't be home to see his dog for some time to come, or the sweet lady in his life, Betty.
He did something wrong but it is not for us to judge, lest we be judged. He had his day in court.
